Mapping Animation

In my short animated movie I revealed what I was doing, what was going on with
me on Friday 13 November 2009. The central, red character represents myself. It
does not move, all the things are happening around me, because on that emotional
day, it felt like I just stood still and everything else was revolving around me.

Throughout the animation the viewer sees how my day went – first I was with my
boyfriend. When he had to leave in the morning, I went back to sleep, waking up
to a realisation that he was gone. I cried and cried until two of my friends came to
cheer me up. We went to play volleyball, had a meal and played cards. However, as
they left in the evening, I went back to bed, dreaming about my boyfriend again. The
repetition of the music as the screen fades out suggests a never-ending cycle. I was
probably going to wake up to the same situation, realising he was not there, and
started crying again.
