Animateka goes web again with a special animated ringtone competition!
The Animateka AnimaWeb Contest is a web competition for computer made short web animation films. We wish to inspire young, aspiring artists from Eastern and Central Europe to take on animation and boost the production of animation film in our region. This year the AnimaWeb contest is looking for the best animated short, animated ringtone or animated wallpaper for mobile phone devices.


The Animateka AnimaWeb Contest will take place until the end of the 8th edition of Animateka International Animation Film Festival. The winning film will be selected by the audience through internet voting. The winner will be announced on the last day of the festival and invited as guest to the 9th Animateka festival edition in 2012 and win a Nokia Smartphone Award.
Final deadline for submission is December 4th 2011, at 12:00 a.m. sharp, when the Internet voting will begin! Voting will close on December 10th 2011, at 12:00 a.m.

Rules and Regulations of Animateka AnimaWeb Contest

1. The film must be entered by the rightful filmmaker.
2. The author is solely responsible for the content of his or her film. The organizer reserves the right to disallow films with inappropriate content to enter into competition.
3. The film must be free of any charges.
4. The number of entries per filmmaker is unlimited. However, every film must be uploaded as a separate entry.
5. Final deadline for submission is December 4th 2011, at 12:00 a.m. sharp!
6. The winning film will be selected by the audience through voting on Animateka AnimaWeb Contest on this page. The voting will commence on December 4th 2011, at 12:00 a.m., and close on December 10th 2011 at 12:00 a.m.
7. The winner will be announced and publicly screened on Saturday the 10th of December 2011 at the closing ceremony of the 8th Animateka International Animation Film Festival and promoted through the festival web page (www.animateka.si).
8. The author of the winning film will be invited as guest to the 9th Animateka festival in 2012 and win a Nokia Smartphone Award.
9. Taking part in the festival implies acceptance without restrictions of these regulations and of interim decisions of the organization.

IMPORTANT

Your entry will be accepted upon reception of the other necessary information or materials, in English Please send these to animaweb@animateka.si:

– Short synopsis
– Short biography
– At least one digital still (JPEG high resolution (300 dpi) for festival promotion and publications purposes)
– Author’s website and contact info (e-mail and/or telephone).

How to enter the contest?

1. First, read the above rules and regulations.
2. Send us the direct link to your Youtube or Google Video film page!

3. Send all the required materials (see Rules and Regulations) to animaweb@animateka.si
4. Your film will not be uploaded to the group automatically, but is subject to content review by the organizer.
5. After that, your film should be up on the Animateka AnimaWeb Contest page shortly.
